The Last Night of Don Juan : Dramatic Poem in Two Parts and a Prologue -1921-

PROLOGUE:

We see nothing but a narrow, dimly lit staircase, the spiral of which is lost at the top, and which sinks into a chasm.
A green and sulphurous reflection splashes the lower steps .
As the curtain rises, the Statue of the Commander appears, descending with heavy steps.
She holds DON JUAN by the arm, beautifully calm.
