Star Reader provides a fully-blended solution for each year of Key Stage 2, with specially-commissioned, engaging fiction and non-fiction texts to read on screen and on paper.

Evaluation Packs contain an interactive CD-ROM, Reader's Guide and Teacher's Guide for each year group. *The interactive CD-ROM's feature electrifying multimedia stimuli, comprising video, animation, rich artwork, music and sound effects. Used in a shared session to inspire and capture children's imagination, the children are then encouraged to move on to independent work using their Reader's Guides.*The Reader's Guides reinforce and refine the skills modelled in the shared session, with linked activities for independent or guided work. Both written and Speaking and Listening activities are provided, with plenty of opportunity for peer and self assessment. *Teacher's Guide provides detailed Speaking, Listening and Drama activities based on the full range of classroom techniques such as snowballing, rainbowing, hot-seating etc. Specifically designed AfL questions are provided for each point in the teaching sequence.
