Rivers Picture Pack

Rivers is one of the units in the new Cambridge Primary Geography series, which has been written to cover the places, themes and skills identified by the revised national curriculum at key stage 2.

Each unit in the series is written around a main geographical enquiry and provides pupils with the knowledge, concepts and skills to complete their investigation.

Rivers introduces children to both the processes and environmental aspects of this thematic study.

It looks at rivers on a range of scales and in a variety of contexts in countries including the United Kingdom, United States, China, Germany and Africa.

The Picture Pack contains 12 large format, full-colour encapsulated photographs and illustrations, which focus on key aspects of the topic.

Each picture provides an excellent introduction, and includes discussion ideas, suggestions for practical activities and extension work on the reverse.
