The Book Of Esther (The Scroll of Esther, Megillat Esther) retold in humourous comic strip style by Kev F Sutherland, best known for his work on Beano and Marvel Comics.

The exciting and dramatic story of Esther and Mordecai, as they take on the terror of the evil Haman and the king (known here as Xerxes, aka Ahasuerus). Esther is a Disney Princess, Mordecai looks for all the world like Larry David. There is a mixture of comedy and drama at every turn and, spoiler alert, the party of Purim at the end.

This is the perfect gift in the run up to Purim, and all year round. Plus, as a bonus, the entire Book Of Ruth story.

This graphic novel was originally commissioned by Bible Society who will be publishing their own edition. This is an independently published version by the writer and artist. (c)2022 Kev F Sutherland.

Megillat Esther is a book in the third section of the Tanakh and is one of the five scrolls of the Hebrew Bible that later became part of the Christian Old Testament.

Kev F Sutherland's other books include his adaptation of Shakespeare into contemporary settings: Findlay Macbeth (where the Scottish King is a salesman who gets passed over for promotion), Prince Of Denmark Street (where Hamlet is in a punk rock band called The Danes), and The Midsummer Night's Dream Team (Shakespeare's comedy retold as a heist movie). All three books are available on Amazon.
