Geographical enquiries : skills and techniques for geography

Focusing on coursework and skills-based GCSE exam questions, this book aims to help pupils to achieve high-quality project work and a deeper understanding of the application of geographical skills and techniques.

The first four sections concentrate on describing, explaining and testing the most important mapwork skills, weather and climate techniques and graphical methods.

The rest of the book provides detailed information on setting out project work and testing hypotheses, and guidelines on collecting information and describing and explaining results.

There are opportunities for pupils to practise skills on a range of data relating to particular places, and these projects can be adapted to suit pupils' own area studies.
