Du Fu was a great realistic poet in the prosperous and middle Tang Dynasty of China.

He was known as "e;the sage of poetry"e;. He was concerned about the country and the people all his life.

With his noble personality and exquisite cultural and artistic accomplishment, he wrote many excellent poems, which had a far-reaching influence on the development history of Chinese classical poetry and was highly praised by later generations.
