This is part of a series of all Stevenson's work celebrating him 100 years after his death.All the works have full introductions, explanatory notes etc.Planned with his stepson Osbourne but written by Stevenson, this was the last novel completed by the writer before his death.

It is a grim, realistic story set in the South Pacific, strikingly different from any of Stevensons other novels.
