Ruling the world is harder than you think

After the Third World War, in the year 2264, the entire world joined together under the rule of two royal families. Those families governed together for generations, but now, only one member of each family remains. Harley Lance Price and Elizabeth Kimberly Ryan are the sole survivors of the two royal lines. They found themselves the King and Queen at age eighteen, when their parents were killed in an plane accident. They quickly forged relationships with most of the key district representatives, and for the first two years of their reign, they have only had to deal with the normal challenges of ruling the world. Their lives are once again turned upside down when they learn that someone close to them has hired a hit man to kill Elizabeth. In order to keep her safe, she and Harley must leave the royal compound and go on the run while their top advisor works to uncover the traitor who hired the assassin and have them stopped. Elizabeth and Harley have always lived in wealth and have had an extensive support system, but while they are away from the compound, they have no access to their bank accounts, and are unable to contact any of their friends for help. Because of their situation, they must figure out how to deal with countless unexpected challenges on their own. Together, they must learn to be resourceful while staying hidden, but it may be harder than they expect.
