The War in Ukraine and the Return of the Principles of Hugo Grotius

The principles and rules of the “law of armed conflict”, first developed by the great thinker Hugo Grotius in the treatise "Three books on the law of war and peace" (1625), have been transformed into modern humanitarian law (IHL).

Putin's aggressive war in Ukraine, which spreads the fear of a global war which is felt across the entire planet, completely denies the principles and rules of IHL.
