Secret, book & scone society - 1

People come to Miracle Springs, North Carolina, to seek relief from all kinds of pain (emotional, physical, and psychological).

They hope the healing waters, five-star cuisine, and renowned resort and spa will cure their ills, but more often than not, a bookstore owner named Nora Pennington can do far more for them by prescribing the perfect book.

Nora understands damaged people because she is also damaged. And when a stranger's secret leads to murder, a somewhat reluctant Nora and the plucky village baker form the Secret Book and Scone Society in order to rid Miracle of its blight.

But rooting out evil is never a simple task. People have many faces, and in the meantime, Nora's book group takes on new members.
