The sculpture of Michelangelo and Rodin serve as the inspiration for Guido Argentini's photographs of the female nude, taken over a period of 17 years.

They are published here for the first time. The book presents two distinct series of photographs.

The first is shot in locations around the world in a way that fuses the body with the landscape, while, in the second, dancers and gymnasts are photographed in contorted positions in the studio.

The bodies are covered with a veil of oil or a layer of metallic paint.

Argentini studied medicine at the University of Florence for three years before turning to professional photography.

He has photographed for Vogue, Marie Claire, Playboy, Max and Men's Health.
