This new commentary on Ovid'sHeroides10 offers an introductory essay, a revised text, and adetailed line-by-line interpretative, linguistic and stylistic commentary on the text. Combining thetraditional philological approach with some of the concerns of more recent critics, both introduction and commentary analyse the construction of the text and survey aspects of Ovidian language and style, as well asthe relationship of the epistle to its literary models.
