Channel 4's "Seeing History" CD-ROMs feature the best TV clips from Channel 4's archive of history programmes for primary schools.

Johnny Swift flew Spitfires in the Second World War.

Now he flies passenger jets, big jumbos. He leads the pupils through from the 1930s to the present day, so that they can explore this fast-changing period through videos, information screens and short quizzes.

The topics covered are: War Years; At home; At school; At work; Travel; and Leisure.

With each completed topic, the pupils can become a mechanic working in a car factory, using their newly acquired knowledge to help them collect stamps for their ration book, whilst avoiding.
