Grant Wahl is a senior writer for Fox Sports and a former Sports Illustrated reporter. He is widely regarded as one of the most significant and illustrious sports journalists in the world. Grant Wahl, a renowned soccer journalist, passed away in Qatar while covering the 2022 World Cup due to an unreported medical condition. The Medical Examiner's Office of New York City performed an autopsy. Grant passed away as a result of the rupture of an undetected, slowly growing ascending aortic aneurysm that had hemopericardium. It's possible that the chest pressure he felt just before he passed away matched the early signs. He first worked for a few other publications before joining Sports Illustrated in 1996, where he was a distinguished writer for more than ten years. Grant rose to fame at Sports Illustrated for his reporting on the most significant sporting events. He wrote extensively on David Beckham's career, the FIFA corruption scandal, and the United States men's soccer team. In-depth biographies of some of the most well-known athletes, such as Tiger Woods, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo, were also written by him. Grant not only contributed to Sports Illustrated, but he also wrote a best-selling book titled The Beckham Experiment on David Beckham's impact on Major League Soccer. He also co-hosted Sirius XM's "Counter Attack" and the monthly show "Press Pass." Waterman wrote extensively about the famous author's life and death.
