Intended both as a text for students and a guide for practitioners, this volume concerns Irish Superior Court procedure.

It focuses on the procedural requirements of discovery with particular emphasis on the development of discovery in Ireland since Murphy v Dublin Corporation, 1992.

The second edition focuses on: the procedure required by the Rules of the Superior Courts (No 2) (Discovery) 1999, (SI No. 223 of 1999), which imposes a statutory obligation on applicants for discovery to proceed by affidavit to furnish reasons, thereby justifying the application to identify and categorize the documents supplied in the application; jurisdiction of the Court to determine issues arising; and case law developments in interrogatories.
