Collected Poems

A collection of poetry spanning seventy-five years, and a portrait of a vivid twentieth century woman. The book illustrates not only Philippa Campbell's stylistic development but the main themes which preoccupied her throughout her life. These are gathered in four main sections: Existential Angst (mostly about the agonies of teenage crushes and soul-searching, treated with touching immediacy and candour), Magically Compatible (the wonderful freedom of loving and being loved), In Harness (marriage and disillusion) and The Senior Citizen (insights into the way the world narrows with age and, in some none-too-comforting ways, broadens).

There are three short subsidiary sections and a postscript by her husband.
