International Agency and Distribution Agreements

See all formats and editions

The use of foreign commercial intermediaries is fundamental to international business: one half of all exports are handled by foreign agents and distributors.

In consequence lawyers are frequently called upon to prepare or review agreements between suppliers and prospective intermediaries overseas.

This work should enable them to do just that. The work is arranged in four looseleaf volumes, the first of which contains an analysis of the issues involved in foreign commercial agreements.

Annotated specimen forms are provided as an aid to drafting and there is also an extensive bibliography.

The other three volumes deal with the impact of national law on agency and distribution agreements.

They include chapters on 56 different countries contributed by experienced local practitioners, together with extracts, (where necessary in English translation) from the relevant legislation. The looseleaf format facilitates regular updating and the work is serviced annually.
