German for starters: Study book

German for Starters is a lively introduction to German language and culture, aimed at adults studying either in classes or independently.

The course uses a communicative approach, and will enable students starting from scratch to reach a level of competence which will allow them to cope with a variety of everyday situations in German-speaking countries.

With this aim in mind, much of the written and aural material is taken from authentic German sources and the teaching of communication skills is underpinned by a clear and systematic presentation of grammar.

The course is completely self-contained, consisting of 12 topic-based sections and three revision sections.

A teacher's book and pack of four cassettes are also available.
