German for starters: Teacher's book

German for Starters is a lively introduction to German language and culture, aimed at adults studying either in classes or independently.

The course uses a communicative approach, and will enable students starting from scratch to reach a level of competence which will allow them to cope with a variety of everyday situations in German- speaking countries.

With this aim in mind, much of the written and aural material is taken from authentic German sources, and the teaching of communication skills is underpinned by a clear and systematic presentation of grammar.

The teacher's book offers ideas for further exploitation of the course's core material, suggesting supplementary activities to help reinforce language as it is learned.

It also contains 36 photocopiable worksheets, which allow further consolidation of topical vocabulary and grammar in the classroom.

A student's book and pack of four cassettes are also available.
