Capital accumulation and women's labour in Asian economies

This volume presents a theoretical interpretation of the changing economic conditions in Asia and their consequences for women and is based on research in India, Bangladesh and Japan.

The author aims to reassert the relevance of Marxist concepts for understanding the processes of socio-economic change in present-day Asia, whilst insisting that this theory needs to incorporate the perspectives of feminist theoreticians.
