This is the initial step toward compiling stories of aquaculture successes, and the editorial team is to be congratulated for its great efforts.

In approaching this difficult assignment, the team benefited from the leadership of the Network of Aquaculture Centres for Asia and the Pacific (NACA), and the support of the World Fisheries Trust (WFT) as well as the Institute for International Sustainable Development (IISD) of Canada.

We hope that the team will continue its endeavor in producing other aquaculture success stories, also from other regions of the world.
