In the Eyes of the Dragon : China Views the World

Presenting Chinese perspectives on international relations in general and Beijing's foreign policy in particular, this work seeks to offer a balanced and researched analysis.

Drawing on original Chinese sources and interviews, it explores Chinese views on sovereignty, national interest, security multilateralism, international human rights, nuclear nonproliferation, Taiwan, and the USA.

It seeks to: illuminate how China views the post-Cold War world and its place therein; enhance understanding of the nationalist settlements driving Chinese foreign policy; and provide a fresh perspective on East Asia and international relations.

The contributors to this volume include Thomas J. Christensen, John W. Garver, Weixing Hu, Ming Wan, Bin Yu, and Ming Zhang.
