Sir-Inder wrote and published the official Indian Farmers Human Rights Report, which was endorsed by the original 31 Farmer Unions leading the protest in India.

He also instigated an initiative requesting the United Nations for independent observers to be placed at the farmer protest sites just outside of Delhi, at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders, this was due to alleged human rights violations and media suppression.

Following the report, some well-known activists were released from Indian prisons including environmental activist Disha Ravi and labourers rights activist Nodeep Kaur.

Deol was assisted by Kanwaljeet Singh, General secretary of The Punjab Kisan Union.

Kanwaljeet Singh is a Punjabi political data analyst, activist and intellectual.
