This guide to planning and teaching outstanding art lessons features practical ideas that link creative outcomes to contextual understanding, using famous artworks.

It extends the National Curriculum requirements for art and design to ensure learning is developed across five main skills for making art: drawing, painting, collage, printing and sculpture.
