General Report on the Activities of the European Union (1999 ed.)

The Commission's "General Report" is a compact and comprehensive source book on the development of European integration and enables readers to measure the Community's progress.

The year's main events appear in a chronological list and tables are included showing, for instance, the progress of legislative proposals under the different decision-making procedures, agreements being concluded with other countries and the various stages in the procedure for the adoption of the budget.
