Beautiful and Damned

F. Scott Fitzgerald was one of the most notable and public American writers during the Roaring Twenties, and well after he had flamed out both professionally and personally, there was a revival of interest in his works, especially The Great Gatsby, which is now considered one of the Great American Novels.

His works continue to be viewed as the epitome of the Jazz Age lifestyle, with Fitzgerald writing what he lived.Like most of his works, The Beautiful and Damned is a semi-autobiographical look at Fitzgerald's lifestyle, and along the way he provides a critique of the Jazz Age's most notable themes, including money, love, and decadence.

He does this by analyzing a relationship between a young man ad his wife, an obvious reference to his own relationship with his wife Zelda.
