This title is part of the University of HealthCare/University of Business Interactive Training Library, which offers authoritative, clearly written material in an interactive form for better comprehension and documentation of completion.

This course is made primarily as a compliance course to teach workers in a healthcare organisation about patient rights, and, most importantly, the instructions for end of life care.

It is useful for anyone delivering or administering patient care.

The first part of the course, which contains 131 pages and takes 1-2 hours, teaches you to differentiate between rights and ethics, describe some ethical controversies, describe the concept of patient rights, describe the JCAHO standards for patient rights, list patient rights under Medicare, list and explain the AHA list of patient rights, and explain the documents needed for end of life care, particularly advance directives.

The second part of the course is a patient rights exercise lasting 1-2 hours with 36 pages.

It guides the student through an approach to ethical issues and helps the student evaluate one of his choosing, and gives some short cases.
