LIPA in pictures : the first ten years

This is the illustrated story of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) from its founding by Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty to its tenth anniversary.

Unique pictures, plans, memorabilia and media moments tell the story Chr(45) as well as a court case, scurrilous farce, financial tight ropes and disagreeable discoveries.

Today, LIPA offers unique programmes and attracts 21 people from around the world to apply for each place.

It has the fourth highest percentage of international students in the UK.

Three-quarters of any given intake year still work in the arts and entertainment economy three years after leaving.
