"What was the revolution of the 1990s for Russia?", writes Yegor Gaidar. "State and Evolution" was written in the fall of 1994 and includes a foreword discussing the significance of events since that time.

Yegor Gaidar was the first post-Soviet prime minister of Russia and one of the principal architects of its historic transformation to a market economy.
