Celebrations (New ed)

This series that takes major celebrations from the six main religions and looks at them in more detail.

The books explore the history behind the celebration - how the festival came about, the story behind the festival and the traditional and modern ways of celebrating it.

The series aims to help children appreciate the range of national, regional, religious and ethnic identities in the United Kingdom.

Each book explores why people observe the festival today; covers the special clothes, food and songs associated with it; discusses other rituals connected to the celebration; and provides simple craft ideas.
