A story about USN CVE 82 Saginaw Bay. An escort carrier built in the shipyard my grandfather worked in at the same time.

The story follows Saginaw Bay from construction to demolition many years later.

Though built as an escort carrier to provide support for convoys, the ship participates in heavy combat in the south pacific during WWII.
