Clifford Kent Holdings Limited and Deans Food Group Limited : A Report on the Completed Merger of Clifford Kent Holdings Limited, Parent Company of Stonegate Farmers Limited, and Deans Food Group Limited

By merging with Stonegate Farmers Ltd, Noble Foods gained control of 60 to 70 percent of the supply of shell eggs to retailers and over half of the supply of liquid eggs.

This inquiry by the Competition Commission finds that the merger has led to a substantial lessening of competition and that the most practicable remedy is the divestiture of Stonegate.
