Regional Planning Guidance for the West Midlands Region : RPG11

This guide has been prepared in response to the advice received from the West Midlands Regional Forum of Local Authorities in 1993.

Its vision is for an advanced and competitive manufacturing region, where development is set within a sustainable framework, so that inward investment and enterprise are encouraged.

It aims to provide everyone with access to a high quality of life and choice of opportunities, as well as maintaining the quality and distinctiveness of the natural and built environment.

The primary purpose of this guide is to set the framework for development plans in the region, covering the period to 2011.
