The public inquiry into the shootings at Dunblane Primary School on 13 March 1996

This inquiry looks in detail at the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the shootings at Dunblane Primary School.

It provides a deatiled report of the events of 13 March 1996, including information on Thomas Hamilton's past, in particular the six months preceeding the shootings, and details of his possession of firearms.

Chapters are also included on: control, certification and viability of firearms; school security; and the vetting and supervision of adults working with children.

Lord Cullen makes a total of 28 recommendations, the majority concerned with the certification system relating to section 1 firearms.
