Proposals for European financial supervision : further report, first report of session 2009-10, report, together with formal minutes and written evidence

This report follows on from the Committee's 16th report of session 2008-09 ("HC 1088", ISBN 9780215542076) and presents further evidence received since publication of that report.

The evidence confirms the Committee's earlier view that the timetable proposed for agreeing these proposals is too hasty.

The report draws attention to a number of new points raised in the evidence and hopes that they can be used to inform the debate on the European Union proposals scheduled for 1 December 2009.
