The Appendix also offers the history of the Constabulary in Germany and the revolt at Geoji (Koji) Island during the Korean war. Although this is partially a work of fiction, the historical references are accurate and many of the events and details are based on true stories and memoirs, found in a detailed journal that I inherited from my late father John L.
