The Hague Conference Guides Guide to Good Practice under the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction Part III - Preventive Measures Part III of the guide is broader in scope than the previous parts, as it is not confined to dealing solely with good practice in relation to the 1980 Hague convention.

Its objective is to give more general guidance as to the type of preventive measures that states might consider adopting in order to reduce the incidence of child abduction.
