Currency is the thought-provoking story of seven people in small town Ohio who are forced to confront their personal values when a newly proposed social system plans to abolish money, power and hierarchy as a means to eradicate poverty and inequality.

Deidre Hanson, a single mom who owns a little dress shop on main-street, loves everything the new system proposes.

Kate, her best friend, a successful, ambitious lawyer hates it; horrified at the thought of losing her career and everything she has worked for. Danny, Deidre's beloved twin brother, a driller for an oil company is strongly opposed. It means he would lose the family ranch. Laurel, Deidre's mother, quietly and tenaciously stands in strong support.

Conflict abounds as neighbor opposes neighbor and family members square off with one another. Passionately driven to do what she feels is right, Deidre is torn between loyalty, love and her own conscience.

Currency is a powerful story that asks the reader, "What if?"
