Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 : Guidance for the Education Sector

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 came into full effect for all workplaces from January 1996.

This includes the education sector and the Regulations apply to all parts of the workplace including classrooms, offices, laboratories, and the grounds and common parts of the buildings (corridors, stairways, car park, etc). This pack highlights how to deal with the following issues: maintenance; the working environment; floors and traffic routes; falls and falling objects; windows; doors; gates and walls; and welfare provision.
