This book looks at the questions of how science and technology are portrayed in Latin American literature, and how these portrayals affect the way science and technology are used in Latin America.

It also deals with the question of the role of creative humanists in building a twenty-first century Latin America in which science and technology become useful tools which all Latin Americans might use to construct a better future.
