Children : Our Ultimate Investment

In 1977, Laura Huxley, widow of noted writer Aldous Huxley, founded Children: Our Ultimate Investment, an organization dedicated to improving the emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being of children in this country.

Through two grass-roots programs. Project Caress (which organizes senior volunteers to cuddle with at-risk newborns) and Teens and Toddlers (which places at-risk teens in jobs at childcare centers).

Huxley is making a difference -- one child at a time.
