'I'm Still Standing' is a book of poetry and short essays which are composed from personal accounts that occurred in my life as well as poems written about African American injustice.

The first chapter oppressed is about what's occurring in the world today; police brutality, racial injustice, and social unrest. The following chapters are poems from my personal life's experiences in regards to molestation, family deaths, and poverty.

Other chapters account my personal struggles with depression, thoughts of suicide amd domestic violence and my struggle with self. I'm Still Standing is written to inspire others who have gone through some of the same struggles I have in turn giving them hope in knowing that they're not alone.

It is also written to encourage them to speak out about injustice and be a voice for those who can speak for themselves.
