The 20th Century Survivor's Club

The Twentieth Century Survivor's Club tells the story of a man of 'parts' set against the backdrop of the First World War. He is from a generation born at the end of the 19th Century into the first half of the 20th Century, who lives to the century's end.

It was the age of the self-invented man, whatever his social origins. The world before penicillin, antibiotics and the health service began the enabling of longer life and the post-Second World War social and societal rebirth brought comfort and ease to millions who had never known it.

This story is a snapshot of an extraordinary generation.
