The Trauma That Made Me

When no one believed Alicia, she had to teach herself how to survive. Yet how do you survive when you are only three and your predator is your father? What happens when you find yourself in a situation where you have to either fight or take flight, but you can't do either? That's exactly what happened to Alicia when her father preyed on her. She did not realize that the trauma she had gone through as a child would follow her like a shadow into adulthood.
