The book explores, amongst other things, the evidence for God's existence; the problem of good and evil; the importance of authority, ceremony and liturgy; other Christian churches and the non-Christian faiths; changing attitudes to death; the Day of Judgement; the existence of Hell; and the uses of prayer.
