La Vida Breve: Palau De Les Arts (Maazel)

A live performance of Manuel de Falla's opera from the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.

Written in 1905, the opera tells the story of a poor gypsy girl, Salud, who is passionately in love with a young well-to-do man named Paco.

Unfortunately, she does not know, and Paco does not tell her, that he is already engaged to a girl of his own class.

The performers featured include Chilean soprano Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, as well as Jorge de León and María Luisa Corbacho.
