Paroles

This new classroom-tested program offers an integrated package of materials for use inside and outside the classroom. Paroles responds to the complex demands of today's varied instructional settings, school calendars, and program needs, while affording students a natural and stimulating entry into the Francophone world.

Not everyone learns the same way - By providing a dual-mode presentation of vocabulary and grammar, this program meets the needs of students, regardless of their learning styles. For example, grammar is presented inductively within Les mots pour le dire sections, and deductively (for initial learning and review) in the Grammaire sections.

Never enough time ?The structure of the text, which is organized around input material (Lire or ?couter), core material, and exit material (Lisons, ?coutons, Discutons or ?crivons un peu), allows instructors to customize material to fit any lesson plan.

The level - The tasks, more than the materials, guide students' progress with diverse learning strategies for development of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. More reading - Reading selections by Francophone authors are supported by pre-reading and post-reading activities that provide students with a manageable progression of comprehension.

French as a World Language - Students are introduced to Francophone culture through use of authentic French materials and a cultural framework for activities. Cultural awareness is heightened by brief information sections throughout the book C'est comme a!) and by four in-depth Ouvertures culturelles.
