Crisis on Stage : Tragedy and Comedy in Late Fifth-Century Athens

This volume explores the relationships between masterworks of Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes and critical events of Athenian history, by bringing together international scholars with expertise on different aspects of ancient theatre.
