It's a big day for Ollie. For the first time he is allowed to go to the shops on his own to buy some cheese for his mum (and some sweets for himself).

Although Mum warns him of many things to watch out for on the way there are some that she has just failed to mention.

When Ollie returns home safely with the correct change, some cheese and sweets, he reassures Mum to trust him but doesn't mention all the adventures he had on the way.

A reassuring book for both mother and child. It is suitable for children who are just getting to that age when they need to begin thinking for themselves and being responsible. Fantastic art and design. Each picture in the book conveys an innovative perspective from the award-winning illustrator Ross Collins. An interesting book to read aloud and share. There are lots of different characters and plenty of dialogue as well as roaring, growling and 'yerking' (something, we learn, aliens do!).
