This publication captures the introductions to the Programme of Action on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms which presents the link between small arms and child soldiers.

It also contains a slide show presentation of programmes aimed to retrain youth in the conflict-prone area of Casamance in Senegal as well as a presentation of the results of a research projects on the impact of small arms borne by children in situations of conflict and peace.
